![]() If I said what I knew, a lot of members including new ones would be hurt rn and feel unloved as well. The way people go against decisions to what they want or switch things last minute just says that we have exec and chairwomen that aren’t full of integrity. However the course this semester has taken compared to before is completely shocking. ![]() The way people talk sh*t behind their closest friends’ backs, including their own bigs, littles, or other people in their fams, is appalling.Īnd for those of you who are going to say what did you expect from joining a sorority: I expected the drama just like from any group of females. I’ve seen in person at an event in front of everyone a person make extremely racist remarks but yet she’s been labeled as a lead outstanding member in our chapter now. The thing I’ve heard about people in my sorority makes me sad sometimes. I feel like an outsider unloved and have even returned home upset considering dropping. I’ve worked so hard trying to reach out to more people and have felt like I’ve been making great connections, but have been made to feel like it is also fake to my face. As a new member I felt like it was so hard to get people to talk to me and want to hang out. I’ve never been hazed since joining but god have been made to feel uncomfortable and unloved. I just wish the people in the UNLV chapter would be as empowering as the sorority as a whole tries to be. I love my sorority and what it stands for. We have diversity in ethnicities and body types. I was so excited to join my sorority due to the core values it had and how it didn’t seem like your typical skinny white girl sorority. I remember trying to find my place originally and then backing down before finally joining the sorority I’m in now. However I want to take a moment kinda just to rant about my experience being in a sorority. I know it’s been a little bit since that guy posted about his experience rushing TKE.
